At Summit and Nest, the choice of materials isn’t just a product decision- it’s a values
decision. Here’s why we chose organically grown bamboo, what that actually means, and why we believe it’s the best choice for your family.
What “Organically Grown” Actually Means
Bamboo is one of the most sustainable plants on earth. It grows up to three feet per day,
doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizers, uses minimal water compared to cotton, and
regenerates from its own roots- meaning it doesn’t need to be replanted after harvest.
When we say “organically grown,” we mean the bamboo used in our fabric is cultivated without synthetic chemicals. No pesticides touching the plant that will eventually touch your baby’s skin. No fertilizers leaching into waterways. Just bamboo, doing what bamboo does best: growing fast and growing clean.
Our Fabric: Thicker Than You’d Expect
One thing parents notice immediately about our bamboo pajamas is that they feel more
substantial than other bamboo brands. That’s intentional. We chose a thicker bamboo fabric because we wanted pajamas that last. Thin bamboo can pill and wear through quickly. Our fabric holds up to active toddlers, frequent washing, and being handed down to younger siblings.
